No, they do not mislead. People get confused because the programs have many of the simliar tools, then get frustrated when they find out stuff like the generative fill is only in photoshop, not Photoshop Elements. Users will make "uninformed decisions" and make quick purchases without read product descriptions, or even trying out the trial versions. Tools and product descriptions are extremly well documented. Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Elements are both photo editing programs, but Photoshop is designed for professional-level users, while Elements is geared towards beginners and hobbyists. Photoshop offers a wider range of features, tools, and customization options, making it more complex to learn and use. Elements provides a simplified interface and guided edits, making it easier to get started with photo editing. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] Here's a more detailed comparison: Features and Functionality: [3] Photoshop: Offers a vast array of tools, including the pen tool, advanced layer blending modes, and specialized filters for professional-level editing. It also supports non-destructive editing and has more AI-powered features. [3] Photoshop Elements: Provides a simplified interface with automated adjustments, quick fixes, and guided edits that walk users through common editing tasks. It includes features like facial feature adjustments and animated image effects that are not available in Photoshop. [1, 4, 6] Target Audience: [1, 2] Photoshop: Designed for professionals, advanced photographers, graphic designers, and those who need the most comprehensive editing capabilities. Photoshop Elements: Intended for beginners, hobbyists, and casual users who want a user-friendly and accessible photo editing tool. [1, 2] Ease of Use: [1, 4] Photoshop: Requires a learning curve due to its complex interface and extensive feature set. [1, 4] Photoshop Elements: Offers a simplified interface and guided edits, making it easier to get started with basic photo editing tasks. [4, 6] Cost: [1, 3] Photoshop: Is typically part of Adobe's Creative Cloud subscription, which offers a suite of design and photo editing tools. [1, 3] Photoshop Elements: Is a one-time purchase and offers a more affordable price point compared to the Creative Cloud subscription. [1, 7] In summary: [1, 2] Photoshop is the professional-grade photo editing software with a wide range of features and tools, while Photoshop Elements is a simplified version aimed at beginners and casual users. If you need advanced editing capabilities and are comfortable with a steeper learning curve, Photoshop is the better choice. If you're looking for a user-friendly and accessible photo editing tool for basic tasks, Photoshop Elements is more appropriate. [1, 2] Generative AI is experimental. FILE> PROCESS MULTIPLE FILES. Choose whatever resize option you want. I recommend by starting off reducing ppi to even 96 or 72 if they are going to be used online only. I typically reduce from 300ppi to 96ppi Anything greater that 96 is not needed for online use (That a very simplified reason). Put the images in question in a folder you can find. Create a folder you will put the resized images into. Pay attention to what the red arrows are pointing to. DO NOT put the resized images in the same folder as the original-- just save some steps and put the resized images into their own folder. This is a screenshot from PSE 2025- that's why it is black.

I would have to agree with greg: common sense is the rule to follow. For example: PSE used to call AI "Adobe Sensi" Some AI tools are used in many of the guided edits. Guided edits are nothing more than a series of actions (various edits) that are automated for you. You could say the the new remove tool uses AI (I really think it's just a small of actions involving cloning of nearby pixels- but it works really well. A problem with using AI is that in many cases you cannot tell that AI was used. I edited this image in photoshop. I challenge anyone to tell me what I did to the photo. Somethings that AI can do is quite remarkable. 1. I changed the road- the original was paved. (Using the generative fill tool) 2. I added the fence. (using the generative fill tool in photoshop) 3. I removed some distractions off in the distance. I used the remove tool (Which works a bit better than the remove tool in Photoshop.

Tedchnically, you are an apple customer, that is who you made your purchase from. This is a user to user forum, we try, and sometimes we are wrong, only sometimes though. While the Apple Online Store does offer Photoshop Elements, Apple's support for the software primarily focuses on the Mac App Store process (download, installation, licensing, updates). For any issues beyond these processes, including technical support, program errors, or "how-to" questions, Adobe's support resources are recommended. Here's a more detailed breakdown: Apple's Support Scope: Apple handles the initial purchase and management of Photoshop Elements through the Mac App Store, including downloads, installations, and updates. Adobe's Support: For technical issues, general questions about using the software, and help with troubleshooting, users should turn to Adobe's support resources, which include online help, user forums, and phone support, according to Adobe's help center. Mac App Store Process: The Mac App Store manages the entire process from buying the software to keeping it up-to-date. Adobe ID and Data Collection: Users need to sign in with an Adobe ID to use Photoshop Elements, which allows Adobe to collect anonymous product usage data for improvements and web/mobile companion apps. Users can manage their data collection preferences on Adobe's website. Downloading and Installation: If you're looking to download and install Photoshop Elements, you can search for it in the Mac App Store and select the "Get" button.

I have only worried about FB image sizes for when I ran FB Ads for my website--- other than that I think you can generally not be that concerned about sizes--- handheld devices accounted for more than 60% of my website traffic so that is what I worried about.

This may help- I made it about 3 years ago: They are designed to be printed, or viewed a page at a time. I also bought a dummies book for pse 2020- and I still reference it every now and then. A dummies book for pse is still for sale on Amazon for abotu $26. One of the better links from this community: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-elements-discussions/training-for-newbie-to-photoshop-elements-2024/m-p/14890347#M101570 I rarely recommend videos. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/jy8bzkekfu45z29988bgm/final-version-ch1-6.pdf?rlkey=mvfruuone3elih8fro5qixp2a&st=8c0d30dp&dl=0 This includes a bit of newer version stuff: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/c3i1ie73iioap482oj59p/CH7.pdf?rlkey=3gy8f15iflc3age6ln8c2mnra&st=5cec6b33&dl=0 I also find that public libraries often have books about older versions. here is the main help page: https://helpx.adobe.com/support/photoshop-elements.html Here is the link to the user guide dated OCT 2023: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/user-guide.html And of course: the link to this forum: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-elements/ct-p/ct-photoshop-elements?page=1&sort=latest_replies&filter=all&lang=all&tabid=discussions

I do it everytime I'm working on something: get a cup of coffee? Save. Drink of water? Save. Go make a sammich? save. Before my wife retired: I had office set up to autosave every 2 minutes-- I never bothered to tell her.. Interesting: Photoshop has autosave. Seem like it would be kinda simple to add to PSE 2026 when it comes out- Octoberish....

Select an album in organizer. Press F11. Zoom in or out on an image using the scroll wheel on your mouse. Zoom in our out on your keyboard: CTRL+ (zoom in) CTRL- (zoom out). Make sure you enable this in your preference file. This is how to make albums directly from the editor: (Many users do not know this). The album will show up automatically in your organizer.

I've just spent 20 minutes looking at this., using PSE 2025. Captions, as displayed in your description, are useless when viewed at 100%. I could not find any way in the organizer or the editor preference files to adjust the caption overlay opacity. Using the overlay tools of settings / theme does nothing to affect the actual overlay opacity. I next tried switching dark and light modes of the editor- which did not make any difference. I changed the view from single pane to double (using the available tool when viewing the image at 100% and caption text could be read. I even went as far as to check my video card settings and there was nothing there I could change that affected the display. Below is when I changed the view from single pane, to double pane view. Here you can see the text.

You have to tell the oranizer to look gfor your raw images- whereever it is stored. The edited jpg shows probably because you have organizer monitoring whatever folder you save it to. Raw images won't show up if there is something wrong with your raw installation. I provided instructions earlier- have do done any of that?

Your camera only requires at least ACR 11.4. Delete the 8bi file, reinstall the acr file: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-in-installer.html 14.5 should work. Follow the on-screen instructions. Once installed successfully, close the installer window. Navigate to the following folder: On macOS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-ins/CC/File Formats On Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CC\File Formats Copy the Camera Raw plug-in (just the .8bi file) from the CC > File Formats folder that is mentioned in the above step. Navigate to the following folder: On macOS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-ins/Elements<Version Number>/File Formats On Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\Elements<Version Number>\File Formats Replace the existing Camera Raw plugin in Elements<Version Number> folder with the plug-in that you copied earlier.

There is no way to change it. Photoshop on the other hand goes as far as having you selecting the camera model, and lens model to correct distortion, there is no grid in PS when correcting camera distortion. The grid is there for "eyeballing" things, nothing more, nothing less. There is no grid when correcting camera distortion in PSE 2025.

a 100% AI generated answer- which is something I have not cosdiered in the past: If your Adobe Express classroom profile indicates that publishing is not enabled, it likely means your school or district hasn't purchased the necessary Google Workspace for Education plan (Teaching and Learning Upgrade or Education Plus edition) or hasn't enabled the Adobe Express add-on. Here's a breakdown of why this might be happening and what to do: Why Publishing Might Be Disabled: Google Workspace for Education Plan: To unlock Adobe Express features in Google Classroom, the school or district needs a specific Google Workspace for Education plan, such as the Teaching and Learning Upgrade or Education Plus edition. Adobe Express Add-on: Even with the correct Google Workspace plan, the school or district needs to enable the Adobe Express add-on for teachers and students. What to Do: 1. Check with School IT: Contact your school's IT department or relevant administrators to inquire about the Google Workspace plan and Adobe Express add-on. 2. Verify Adobe Express Add-on: Ensure that the Adobe Express add-on is installed and enabled for your Google Classroom. 3. Confirm Plan Details: If you're a student, check with your school's IT department to confirm that your school's plan includes Adobe Express or Portfolio/Behance. 4. Verify Account: If you have a personal Adobe Creative Cloud plan, make sure you are logged in with the correct email address associated with your paid plan. 5. Follow Adobe's Instructions: Adobe Help Center provides detailed instructions on enabling Adobe Express in Google Classroom.

To whitelist a website, you typically add it to a list of trusted sites within your browser's settings, allowing access to features like pop-ups, cookies, and JavaScript that might otherwise be blocked. Here's a general guide, with specific steps for Google Chrome and Microsoft Internet Explorer: General Steps: Access Browser Settings: Open your browser and navigate to the settings menu (usually found by clicking the menu icon, often three dots or a cogwheel). Locate Site Settings: Look for options related to privacy, security, or content settings, and then find the section for site permissions or exceptions. Add to Whitelist: Find the "Allow" or "Trusted Sites" list and add the website's URL to it. Specific Instructions: Google Chrome: Click the three dots (menu) in the top-right corner. Go to "Settings". Click "Privacy and security" on the left sidebar. Click "Site settings". Under categories like "JavaScript," "Cookies," and "Pop-ups," add specific websites to the "Allow" list. Example: To allow pop-ups, click "Pop-ups and redirects" and then click "Add" next to the "Allow" section, enter the website URL, and click "Add". Microsoft Internet Explorer: Open Internet Explorer. Click the "Tools" icon (gear) and select "Internet Options". Click the "Security" tab. Click "Trusted sites" and then "Sites". Enter the website URL in the "Add this website to the zone" field and click "Add". Click "Close" and then "OK". Other Considerations: Firewall Whitelisting: If you're dealing with a firewall, you'll need to access its configuration interface and add the website's IP address or domain to the whitelist. Router Whitelisting: Similar to firewalls, you'll need to access your router's configuration interface and add the website to the whitelist. Browser Extensions: Some browser extensions, like "Website Whitelist," can simplify the whitelisting process. Email Whitelisting: If you're trying to whitelist an email sender, you'll need to add the email address or domain to your email provider's whitelist or allowlist. IP Whitelisting: In some cases, you might need to whitelist specific IP addresses instead of websites, which is useful for network security.

I logged into Adobe express with my school credentials, on my home computer, and had no issues with it. I'm thinking there are restrictions placed by your district IT folks which are prohibiting you from publishing. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU LOGIN WITH YOUR SCHOOL CREDENTIALS FROM HOME? If students use chromebooks: They are locked down pretty tight by school districts. I don't think it's on you, it's on the district network Admin (as opossed to account admin). Occasionally automated school network restrictions get in the way. I've had to send in a couple of tech requests (to the district IT guys) to get adobe acrobat pro to work correctly, and one othe thing I don't recall right now- it was a number of years ago. Oncce they got my request my issue was resolved that same school day. In all related conversations no one has mentioned contacting district IT guys and submitting an actual tech request to resolve this issue. My district has a great online system for such things. Grades 7 up use Canvas, and Grades 1-6 use google classroom in my district-- either way once you have the links to the websites it doesn't really matter.
