INFO:
Lately we’ve been slip casting Mugs almost every single day due to increased demand. (We slip cast a few of our other shapes including Teapots and Creamers, but the biggest demand is for our sturdy Mugs.) To form a Mug, Dark Brown slip (a liquid-like version of clay) is poured into a mold that’s based on a design thrown by Jono. Once the mugs reach the correct thickness, excess slip is dumped out and the mugs are left to dry in their molds until they’re hard enough to be popped out and trimmed. Our slip casting station has a great view of the New York City skyline and when the sun comes out, it illuminates the space beautifully 🌇
